Advice Centre - Style Guide - BathroomBack

There is nothing like bad flooring to spoil an otherwise stylish bathroom. If you are investing in your bathroom then avoid neglecting the flooring, otherwise you could well ruin the effect that you have worked so hard to create.

Many people still believe that that you have to buy carpet that is especially designed for bathrooms with a fully washable latex backing. Unfortunately, the choice of such products is somewhat limited. However, in fact, any carpet with a rot-proof backing is suitable for bathrooms.

The trick is to avoid carpets with backings made of natural jute, which can deteriorate when they get wet.

An alternative to carpet could be Karndean flooring (please contact us for further information), perfect for creating an individual look. Although these products are not inexpensive - generally speaking the overall surface area of a bathroom is fairly small - so the resulting overall price as a rule will not break the bank.
